PRELICENSING CLASS
The New York State Dept. of Motor Vehicles requires that you take this Prelicensing Class after completion of the written (Permit) test, but before the Road Test. Major topics include Defensive Driving Techniques, Seatbelt Safety, Impaired Driving, New Laws, etc. Upon completion, students will receive a certificate which entitles them to sign up for the NY State Road Test. The Class is offered at the North Rockland High School during the school year, through the Adult Education Program (open to teens and adults). Contact them at 845-942-3318. You may also be able to find their brochure online. Try going to the North Rockland Central School District website. There you should be able to find a link for the adult education department.

6 HOUR POINT & INSURANCE REDUCTION CLASS
I no longer offer this class, sometimes also known as the Defensive Driving Class. You can now take the course online for full credit! Contact your insurance provider for more information. The NYS DMV website should also contain a list of providers for this class. |
