Roger was born and raised in Thiells and grew up attending the local schools of North Rockland. Upon High School graduation, he went on to attend St. Thomas Aquinas College and then the State University of New York at New Paltz, where he graduated with a B.S.B.A. While he was in college, he worked as a Driving Instructor, quickly earned an excellent reputation within the community, and eventually opened up a Driving School.

“I started off as a teenager teaching other teenagers (and Adults!) how to drive. I still enjoy the challenge of preparing each individual student for the State Road Test. These kids today have so many things going on that they (and parents too!) sometimes forget how important it is to develop safe driving skills and habits.” states Roger. “Years ago, a local radio station had called and interviewed me on the air. They had asked me, and I explained, what I thought were some of the most dangerous issues facing teens and driving at that time. Things are a bit different today - there are still the usual issues like speeding and impaired driving, but recently distractions have become a big problem (texting while driving, for example). New drivers need to learn and understand what dangers to avoid and how to avoid them. As a parent myself, I know how important it is to keep my child safe, and nothing prepares them for our roads better than being educated by a trained professional.”

Roger still resides in the North Rockland area with his wife Carrie, also in the field of education (a High School Assistant Principal), his daughter Sarina Anne, and Luna the cat (sadly, Titan the dog has passed away). In his spare time, Roger enjoys traveling, photography, playing chess and many different sports and outdoor activities.

Four-year olds can parallel park too!
